My intrepid husband was in the kitchen again last night. He created this…stuff…this delicious stuff that we had to come with a name for. He suggested le bleu royale. I suggested blappleberry sauce; this is my blog, so I get to call it what I want. :)
Blappleberry Sauce
The Stuff You’ll Need: a large bowl, a large sauce pot, spoons
The Grub You’ll Need: apple sauce (a pint or two…depending on the size of your family); blueberries (a pint or two, depending on the size of your family) to equal the amount of applesauce you used; 1/2 tsp nutmeg; 1 tsp cinnamon; 1/2c sugar; 2 TBSP flax seed (you can omit this if you don’t need…um…help moving things along…), and 1/2 vanilla extract.
What You’ll Do: put all the ingredients in your sauce pan and gently warm through, on medium to low heat, stirring all the while. Do this until a very gentle simmer is obtained. Now the good stuff is ready for pancakes, crepes, toast, or peanut butter sandwiches.

I might have to make some of this…looks delish! I also need to read your blog more and write more on my own…sigh……
